*Working working...*

Most of my mineral pigments that I got whilst in Japan were in little bags which over time became tatty and... some of them leaked! So I decided it was time to invest in some glass tubes to store them properly. It took quite some time to transfer 50 colours in the tubes... I'm left with 30 colours so now waiting for another box of tubes to arrive :)

So currently I'm working on 4 paintings around the theme of cherry blossoms. I got my aluminium/silver leaves out for one of the paintings... it was a rather tense morning trying to lay the leaves correctly! (><;)

*Goldfish and Cherry Blossoms*

Just finished this little painting of goldfish and cherry blossoms :) I had great fun working on this small format and subject, which I managed to finish over 2-3 days! This was really a practice piece before starting some larger cherry blossoms paintings!

Materials used: Japanese mineral, shell and gold pigments on washi (Japanese paper) and wood.
Size: 28cm x 5cm

*Goldfish painting*

Currently working on some sakura (cherry blossom) paintings, one of which features some goldfish :)
