The weather seems to have finally taken a turn towards sunny and warm 'summer'! There's something about the change in the air that you can smell, which announces that a season has well and truly arrived. I can't really describe it - like I can't describe the smell when I know it's about to rain, I can just recognise it in that instant.
Yesterday was the Private View for the Graduation Exhibition - it's already been two years since my work was exhibited there... how time flies... It was nice to see some old faces, amongst a wave of new graduates. I will be going to see the work in the next few days to take it all in, with hopefully less of a crowd.
If you are around, please go and see it! http://www.nuca.ac.uk/degree-shows-2010

I have been working on this small painting, inspired from flora I saw in a botanical garden in Okinawa last year. I am pretty close to finishing it - in fact I'm unsure how to finish it... but I shall see. Nihon-ga painting, using mineral pigments, on washi paper.
